Writing is a solitary business, where you sit at the blank page and will words to flow through your fingers.
The writing process, though, does not have to be solitary. You can bounce ideas off other people, pull everyone’s research together into one document, assign sections and take them on individually, share your words with others for feedback, and turn your writing into a community effort. Or you could simply share your writing with a few friends to get their thoughts on it before you let it out into the world.
Reproof’s new collaboration features are built for that and more. The new Share button at the top of documents lets you share any document, either by email or with a link, with options to either comment or both comment and edit. Your reviewers can see everything in your document, including paragraph versions, and leave comments on their favorites.
And, my favorite feature: You can collaborate live, with edits synced in near-real-time, but with the paragraphs anyone else is editing locked away, to keep you from accidentally overwriting what someone else is typing.
Collaboration works from your keyboard, too: Select text, then press Cmd+Option+M to add a comment, and Cmd+Enter to save it.
The next time you write something and want to get feedback on it, give Reproof collaboration a try!
